The Carinthian Airport Operating Company held an extraordinary general assembly last week. In this, Franz Peter Orasch was recalled as managing director. Nils Witt, on the other hand, is to remain in office until further notice, contrary to what was originally announced by politicians.

He will be assisted by Maximilian Wildt, who in a few days Managing Director of Klagenfurt Airport. The manager was previously the airport's marketing manager, but switched to Do&Co last year. For the time being, he will be in charge of the fortunes of the crisis-ridden airport for six months, because the management is being re-advertised. According to reports, Wildt also wants to apply for the regular appointment.

In the shareholders' meeting, the new ownership structure came into play for the first time, because due to the fact that Lilihill did not participate in the capital increase, the state of Carinthia (via KBV) and the city of Klagenfurt hold again the majority. The shares of the Orasch company are diluted. This was also used immediately to depose him as airport manager.

KBV board member Martin Payer will act as interim managing director until Maximilian Wildt is appointed. The manager named first is to take office on July 1, 2023. Sole management by Nils Witt, who was still employed by Lilihill, is obviously out of the question for politicians.
