In the third quarter of 2022, 27.941 travelers used Klagenfurt Airport. In July, August and September 2022, a total of 438 commercial flights were operated from this airport. Compared to the same period last year, it was possible to increase by more than 60 percent.

In the first nine months of the current year, there were 927 commercial flight movements at Carinthian Airport. There were 56.990 travelers on board the aircraft. During this period, Klagenfurt was the Austrian airport that had the fewest passengers. This is also due to repeated suspensions of at least one of the two routes.

Considerably more passengers are expected for the 2022/23 winter timetable. The budget airline Ryanair offers since this week the destinations London-Stansted, Charerloi and Dublin, each served twice a week. Manchester, served once a week, will be added in December 2022. The Lowcoster forecasts around 2022 passengers for the cold season of 23/54.000. Transavia operates during peak season offer Rotterdam flights again.
