With Klaus Meisterl, Austrian Airlines has had a new sales manager who is responsible for Austria since May 1, 2023. He succeeds Stephan Linhart, who is moving to Lufthansa and will in future be sales manager for Eastern Europe and Israel.

“I am delighted that in Klaus Meisterl we have gained a long-standing Austrian Airlines manager with extensive experience and that we have been able to fill this strategically important position from within our own ranks. I would like to thank Stephan Linhart for his outstanding work, which he will now continue in another area of responsibility. I wish both of them every success in their new roles,” says Austrian Airlines Chief Commercial Officer Michael Trestl.

The previous Head of Sales for Austria & Slovakia Stephan Linhart (50) is moving to Lufthansa Airlines and will take on the position of Head of Sales Eastern Europe & Israel. In this function, he will be responsible for sales in the entire Eastern European region, which is also of strategic importance for Austrian with its Vienna hub. He will perform his new task from Vienna. Linhart started at Austrian Airlines in 1996 in passenger handling at Vienna Airport. He then held various management positions in pricing and revenue management until he took over sales responsibility for the airlines in the Lufthansa Group in Austria and Slovakia in 2016.
