Suriname: KLM's B777 suffers blowout

During the landing of a KLM flight operated with Boeing 777, the passengers had to witness a breakdown. Several tires burst upon landing. This led to the temporary cessation of flight operations at the airport.

After a nine-hour flight from Amsterdam, some tires burst on landing in Suriname. At least three tires suffer a defect. This played out on March 6, 2023. According to the media, no injuries to passengers and crew members occurred. The Boeing 777 with the registration PH-BVC is still at Paramaribo Airport and normal operations had to be suspended at short notice.
