With immediate effect, KLM Royal Dutch Airlines is reopening its network to the United States for European travelers - provided they are vaccinated and carry a negative PCR test with them.
This means that the airline is adding back to its program all the destinations it had flown direct to in the winter before the coronavirus pandemic broke out. These include Los Angeles, San Francisco, Chicago, Boston, Atlanta, Miami, Las Vegas, New York, Washington, Minneapolis, and Houston. In addition, the carrier offers its passengers a broad network of US destinations through its partner Delta Air Lines. In the opposite direction, Europe has been open to US travelers again since mid-June.
“This is a big moment for everyone who has not been able to travel to the US in a long time. We look forward to doing what we do best: bringing people together. And that is exactly what drives everyone at KLM. This is a turning point for us and thus an important step out of the crisis, ”said Pieter Elbers, President and CEO of KLM.
