KM Malta Airlines introduces upgrade auction for business class

KM Malta Airlines, the new national airline of the island state of Malta, has introduced an upgrade auction program that allows passengers to convert their economy class tickets into business class tickets for an additional charge.

This offer is valid on all of the airline's flights, except for those to and from Catania. Passengers can choose the amount they want to pay for the upgrade, but there is no guarantee of being allocated a business class seat, the airline says. The new program offers a flexible way for passengers to upgrade their flight experience, but could also lead to uncertainty about availability.
