If you start your holiday from Terminal 2 of Cologne Bonn Airport, you no longer have to decide between the shopping and waiting areas before your flight. A new duty-free/duty-paid area has now been opened by Setur on around 600 square meters.

The open market square invites you to linger with its greenery and comfortable seating. In addition, smaller events can take place in this area and provide variety and entertainment. This completes the redesign of the duty-free areas at Cologne Bonn Airport.

“This is exactly how the travel experience for our passengers should begin. Our partner Setur did an excellent job of implementing our concept when designing the shop, which considers the departure area as a whole and no longer separates individual functional areas," says Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. Managing Director Torsten Wardrobe adds: "Setur takes our airport another step towards the perfect balance between shopping experience and quality of stay. We also want to hold the first events here soon.”

Setur CEO Ahmet Sönmez explains: “We are proud to have opened our first duty-free shops in Europe at Cologne Bonn Airport. We would like to thank the entire team for the successful implementation and look forward to a successful partnership.”

Setur had already opened its new retail space in Terminal 1 at the beginning of June. On a total of 1.500 square meters in its new shops at Cologne/Bonn Airport, Setur also focuses on regional products and takes up the Rhineland mentality. At the same time, the range offers a large selection of international branded items. The innovative concept and the appealing architecture combine the aspects of modern, diverse, customer-oriented and also focus on the topic of sustainability.
