At Korean Air, paper waybills will soon be obsolete. The carrier has started switching to the electronic alternative. Initially, the innovation applies to documents for general cargo transported from Korea to North America, Europe, Japan and other selected markets.

e-AWB is a digital replacement for traditional paper air waybills. While paper documents require in-person visits for documentation, printing and filing, digitalization will streamline the entire process from reservation to final delivery.

“This digital step forward represents an innovative paradigm for logistics. We support IATA’s efforts to introduce e-AWB for the digital transformation of air cargo,” said a representative from Korean Air. “We believe that Korean’s commitment Air for international industry initiatives will help increase the competitiveness of the Korean air cargo industry.”
