The shipping company Tui Cruises is waiving the previously practiced mask requirement on the departures of the Mein Schiff fleet. However, only people who are fully vaccinated against Covid-19 will be allowed on board.

The masks will fall on board the Tui cruise ships on May 29, 2022. This does not apply to areas where the authorities have continued to issue a corresponding obligation. Passengers can inform themselves accordingly before departure. The shipping company continues to insist on the completion of two rapid antigen tests before embarkation.

What is new is that the first of the two tests can be carried out in the form of a self-test. Alternatively, negative PCR results will continue to be accepted, as these are generally considered to have a higher value than the rapid tests. All passengers aged 12 and over must provide proof of full vaccination against Covid-19. This also applies to those who have recovered. Although Tui no longer stipulates that you must have the so-called booster vaccination, it expressly recommends it.
