The airline Air Belgium will shortly take delivery of a converted Airbus A330-200F freighter. The aircraft was originally delivered to Etihad Airways in 2007. The long-haul aircraft is currently being prepared for its first mission at Aviation Cosmetics Malta.

Currently, the aircraft leased from Altavair bears the temporary registration OE-LAL. The aircraft should not be confused with an A340, which previously had this aviation registration number at Austrian Airlines. There is no connection and the registration was simply reassigned.

The subject Airbus A330-200F has the serial number 832 and is currently around 15,3 years old. At Luqa Airport, the cargo plane will be repainted in the colors requested by Air Belgium. The jet is currently not wearing any livery at all, but is waiting for the appointment in the paint shop in Malta.
