In the meantime, the Maltese MFSA made the successor company of the Austrian Laudamotion GmbH visible in the Malta Business Register. Lauda Europe Ltd. not only resides in the same premises as the sister company Malta Air Ltd., but also shares some managers with them. Laudamotion managing director Andreas Gruber appears at Lauda Europe Ltd. however not on.

The Maltese company is run by David O'Brien, Richard Higgins, Angelo Buhagiar and Neil Sorahan. Buhagiar and Sorahan can also be found in the company register extract of Malta Air in the function of managing directors.

Owner of Lauda Europe Ltd. based in Birkirkara is Gulliver Holding Ltd. It is wholly owned by Ryanair Holdings PLC and is managed by Angelo Buhagiar and Neil Sorahan. Gulliver Holding Ltd is also involved in Malta Air.

Lauda Europe Ltd. was founded on January 14, 2019 as a so-called shelf company and from May 21, 2020 activities of a takeover by Ryanair Group can be seen in the MBR. The name change was applied for to the MFSA on July 30, 2020. This is remarkable because in May 2020 the employees of Laudamotion GmbH exerted pressure for the conclusion of the new collective agreement through two demonstrations. At this point, the closure of the Austrian company and the flagging out to Malta were already a done deal.
