Numerous employees of the Austrian Laudamotion GmbH received a letter on Wednesday from Birkirkara, the largest city in the Republic of Malta. The there in the premises of Malta Air Ltd. based Lauda Europe Ltd. offers to take over the employment relationship on the basis of the Laudamotion collective agreement of May 28, 2020.

The change of employer should take place on September 15, 2020. Approval will be requested by August 20, 2020, 17:00 p.m. Only a given wording is accepted and it is pointed out that there is no alternative.

Lauda Europe Ltd. is established in Birkirkara. at least in the Centris Business Gateway, a very young and modern office building. The office and floor are shared with sister company Malta Air Ltd., because the addresses are identical up to the top office number. However, it is not a “letter box” because the workplaces of Malta Air and, in future, Lauda Europe employees are located on site.

According to the Maltese Ministry of Transport, Lauda Europe Ltd. AOC and OL not yet granted. With the start of the 2020/21 winter flight planning period, the company intends to take over the ACMI services that Laudamotion GmbH has previously provided for Ryanair. The cover letter to the employees also states that Lauda Europe Ltd. wants to develop into a “major European low cost airline”.
