Instead of OE flight numbers, the FR code will be used from Düsseldorf and Stuttgart in the future. The flights will, however, continue to be operated with the Lauda A320.

The Austrian airline Lauda will not make a comeback under its own brand in Stuttgart and Düsseldorf. As of July 1, 2020, connections will be switched to the Ryanair FR code. According to a press release, the flights will continue to be carried out by the subsidiary Lauda as part of a wet lease contract.

This change also has an indirect impact on two routes to Austria, because Münster / Osnabrück-Vienna and Stuttgart-Vienna will be discontinued. In return, Ryanair will start a connection from Cologne / Bonn to the Austrian capital. This is served by both Lauda and Ryanair aircraft.

From Dusseldorf and Stuttgart, Ryanair will be offering a total of 2020 connections in the 26 summer flight schedule, most of which will be served by Lauda with the Airbus A320. Customers who have Lauda tickets should be rebooked on Ryanair flights. For the time being, the wet lease agreement between the two carriers will apply until the end of summer 2020.

“Ryanair is pleased to be able to offer its particularly low fares from Düsseldorf and Stuttgart on 26 routes, including new connections from Düsseldorf to Barcelona, Dublin and London and from Stuttgart to Barcelona, and to accept all Lauda passengers on these routes have booked which will be served on a wet lease basis with Lauda A320 aircraft until the end of the summer, ”says Ryanair Managing Director Eddie Wilson.
