Lufthansa is leasing four Airbus A350-900s that were previously used by Philippine Airlines. However, the cabin should not be converted. A spokesman for the airline even says that this will upgrade the existing business class.
According to a report by the Aero.de portal, the former Philippine A350s with 295 seats are to fly at Lufthansa. These are to be divided into 241 economy, 24 premium economy and 30 business class seats. A spokesman told the medium among other things: "Compared to the current product, the incoming aircraft will have an upgraded business class, for example with direct aisle access for all guests".
Lufthansa's decision to adopt the configuration from Philippine Airlines leaves room for speculation that the crane will find this product better than its own. In the medium term, the entire A350 fleet is to be equipped with new cabins. There is no fixed date for this yet.
