Aircraft leasing is becoming increasingly expensive

Lease rates are expected to skyrocket in the near future. The reason for this forecast is the increasing demand, because it is currently not possible to produce as many planes as there is demand.

As the leasing company AerCap reports, more than 90 percent of the aircraft that will be serviced by 2024 are already owned. In the most recent quarter, AerCap earned about €495 million, a number that may change somewhat as lease payments increase.
