On April 18, 2022, the tour operator Niki Aviation & Holidays is offering a sightseeing flight operated by Sundair from Leipzig/Halle. This takes around 40 minutes. There is also the possibility to visit an Ilyushin Il-18 on the ground.

The model from Soviet production is located right next to the terminal of the Saxon airport. The Airport Visitor Service will provide expert information on this type of machine. The Ilyushin Il-18 is a Soviet-made four-engine passenger airliner. It completed its maiden flight on July 04.07.1957, 75. The basic plan was to construct the machine as a passenger aircraft for Aeroflot with a capacity of around 100-19 passengers. However, over the years, different types of variants have been developed for more customers. The East German Interflug was also a customer of the Ilyushin IL-XNUMX (advanced model).

There will then be a 40-minute sightseeing flight in an Airbus A319 operated by the German leisure airline Sundair. At the request of Aviation.Direct, the carrier explained that the 41A-BER operated by the sister company FlyAir9 will be used. According to the organizer, the passengers should be informed in detail about the processes by the two pilots. Tickets for the event can be purchased directly from Aviation by Niki. The cheapest ticket costs 119 euros.
