The French level crews now share the fate of their colleagues from Austrian Level Europe: OpenSkies announced that all crews were resigning. The search for an investor to take over the IAG subsidiary, which operates from Paris-Orly, had previously failed.

According to local media reports, a social plan was agreed with the unions at the beginning of the month. A total of 180 OpenSkies employees are affected. The company confirmed to Aviation Direct that all employees belonging to the flight crew had been given notice of termination.

Level was an expensive pleasure for the IAG, because it was not successful in Vienna, Amsterdam or Paris-Orly. The occupancy rate of the flights fell short of expectations and consequently the International Airlines Group burned a lot of money with OpenSkies (Paris) and Level Europe (Vienna). In the course of the corona pandemic, both daughters were dropped. The Austrian branch even had to file for bankruptcy. In Barcelona, the level activities carried out by Iberia will continue.
