The US airline Jetblue does not get the aircraft needed for the start of the connections from Boston to London Gatwick and London Heathrow in time. Therefore, the first flights have to be postponed.
The carrier originally planned to fly between Boston and Gatwick from July 19, 2022. Nothing will come of this for the time being, as the company announced that the recording will not take place until August 4, 2022. It will not go to Heathrow from August 22, 2022, but only from September 20, 2022. The reason is that Airbus A321lR machines can only be taken over with a delay.
Jetblue justifies the decision, among other things, that the manufacturer Airbus is said to have experienced “unexpected production delays”. These affect the delivery of the next two A321LRs scheduled for Boston. Airbus has already received corresponding information that the agreed delivery date cannot be met.
Passengers who have already bought tickets should be rebooked on other connections. For example on the existing London connection via New York JFK or on partner airlines. Alternatively, those affected should also be able to have the ticket price already paid reimbursed.
