The aviation startup Heston Airlines, based in Vilnius, received AOC and an operating license from the Lithuanian Aviation Authority. This was announced by the company, which wants to specialize in the provision of ACMI and charter services.

Accordingly, the official documents were handed over on May 21, 2021. The fleet will initially consist of three Airbus A320s. The first unit was already taken over in April 2021 and has the registration LY-FJI. According to Heston Airlines, the approval process took around seven months from submitting the application to receiving the AOC and OL. The maintenance company Heston Aviation is behind the startup.

“We submitted the application seven months ago, and despite the pandemic, we remade ourselves and vowed to move forward together. Sometimes it felt like leaning backwards, but with this incredible team of professionals we overcame the obstacles and achieved that goal, ”Heston Airlines said in a statement.
