London Heathrow: Underground strike also affects airport

In London, travelers have to be prepared for problems in the underground traffic tomorrow. The reason is a strike by employees, which will affect the operation of several stops and train stations - including the underground stations at Heathrow Airport.

Workers at nine London Underground stations, represented by the RMT union, are due to walk out tomorrow, Friday, according to a strike call. For this reason, delays, train cancellations and other operational disruptions are very likely. In addition, there may be increased passenger numbers and traffic jams on the alternative routes. The tube stations affected are Euston, Green Park, Hatton Cross, Hounslow West, Kings Cross St Pancras and Victoria Station. Heathrow Terminals 2 and 3, Heathrow Terminal 4 and Heathrow Terminal 5 stops will also be on strike.

Travelers arriving tomorrow at London's Heathrow Airport and wishing to travel to the city center or who plan to travel to the airport via the Tube will need to consider alternative transport options. For example, the Heathrow Express airport train is available, which runs every 5 minutes between 15am and midnight. It connects the international airport with Paddington train station in London in around 23 minutes. A night bus runs to Trafalgar Square every 30 minutes between 5:20pm and 24am. There are also daytime buses from Heathrow to Victoria Station. This is reported by CheckXNUMX.
