At the beginning of the month, the state-owned Polska Grupa Lotnicza (PGL) founded a new subsidiary called LOT Polish Airlines - this is exactly the name under which the currently largest Polish airline operates. Therefore, the media speculate that a controlled bankruptcy of this airline could be imminent in order to restart under more favorable conditions.
