The Polish LOT will start an unusual domestic flight from November 11, 2020. After the demand on the flights between Warsaw and the two Czech destinations Prague and Ostrava collapsed due to the ongoing Covid-19 pandemic, the airline decided to combine the two routes in the future. In the near future, the Embraer 170 will operate five times a week between Warsaw and Prague, each with a stopover in Ostrava. At the same time, LOT offers the opportunity to purchase flight tickets between the two Czech cities from EUR 55 in the economy tariff. Just recently, LOT and the Ostrava Region signed a dedicated marketing agreement worth 400.000 euros. The aim is to secure a connection to LOT's international network via Warsaw after CSA Czech Airlines suspended its domestic flights to Prague at the beginning of 2020. The booking figures for the next few weeks should decide whether the new domestic traffic will continue after the Covid 19 pandemic.
