The Lufthansa Group is probably over the mountain - at least with the refunds. Because these are already at pre-crisis level at the airline.

The Corona year was undoubtedly associated with many uncertainties. This also applies to air travelers who had to wait months for their money in 2020, which was granted to them within seven days according to an EU directive. But now it should be over. At least with the crane airline. Because this reports that it is no longer in arrears with the reimbursement of canceled flight tickets. The company reported on Monday in Frankfurt that there are currently around 100.000 transactions worth around 43 million euros. Of these, 1200 requests for reimbursement with a value of 480.000 euros concern the domestic subsidiary Austrian Airlines, reports the Press. The values correspond roughly to the normal level before the corona crisis and are expected to decrease slightly in the current year, but will never reach zero due to ongoing new cancellations, explained the German airline group. Because of the numerous flight cancellations, there were significant traffic jams with the Lufthansa Group and other airlines last summer.
