Back home: The last athletes of the successful Team D (725 medals in total) arrived in Germany on Lufthansa flight LH27 this Monday.

At 15:45 p.m., the Boeing 747-8 with the registration D-ABYA and the christened name “Brandenburg” landed at Frankfurt Airport. Around 50 athletes with their gold, silver and bronze medals were on board this flight from Beijing, including the successful bobsleigh pilots around double Olympic champion Francesco Friedrich as well as Katharina Hennig and Victoria Carl, who won silver in the cross-country women's relay and in the sprint relay got the gold medal. Due to the Corona rules, the athletes whose competitions had already ended in the first week left after their competitions. In total, Lufthansa transported 605 athletes and their support teams to and from the Olympic Games.
