On Tuesday, Lufthansa Cityline operated the first commercial cargo flight with the Airbus A8350P321F aircraft, flight number LH2. The D-AEUC flew from Frankfurt am Main via Dublin to Manchester.

Some time ago, the Kranich Group decided to have the A321 converted into a freighter. These are operated by Cityline on behalf of Lufthansa Cargo. This constellation has been criticized by the Vereinigung Cockpit pilots' union, among others.

The D-AEUC was delivered to Niki in 2008 and was registered OE-LES. In the course of the collapse of the Air Berlin Group, this A321 was bought by Lufthansa, but had to be leased to Laudamotion due to an order from the EU Commission. After a public dispute, a gradual return was agreed. This aircraft was briefly registered on the Eurowings AOC before the decision was made to convert it into a freighter.
