The future state carrier ToMontenegro is getting support from the Kranich Group. Lufthansa Consulting was able to prevail in a tender and will support the startup as a consultant. However, this does not result in any participation or cooperation with the airline.

The Ministry of Transport informed the news agency Mina that the contract was advertised publicly and that Lufthansa Consulting with the best price-performance ratio was able to prevail. The contract would start at the end of March 2021. There is no official schedule for the first flight, but it can be assumed that it will take off “as soon as possible”.

The predecessor, Montenegro Airlines, received funding to maintain a minimum level of connectivity. Actually, one wanted to initiate the process a long time ago, but one still needs the services until ToMontenegro is in the air. They also want to transfer some assets to the start-up. This is to take off with Embraer 195 regional jets.
