Lufthansa expands Boeing 787-9 operations in North America

The youngest member of the Lufthansa fleet, the Boeing 787-9, is heading for further destinations in North America. 

With the start of the summer flight schedule on March 26, 2023, the “Dreamliner” will fly six times a week from Frankfurt to Dallas/Fort Worth, Texas. Four times a week we go to Montréal, then daily from May. Also from the beginning of May, the AUA parent company will use the aircraft daily to Denver and three times a week to Austin. In the current winter timetable, Detroit will also be served with the aircraft type from February 13, 2023, according to the carrier in a broadcast. The “Dreamliner” has been flying daily to Newark since October last year.

Lufthansa currently operates three Boeing 787-9s with the registrations D-ABPA, D-ABPC and D-ABPD. Two more aircraft of this type will be delivered shortly. The Lufthansa Group will receive a total of 2027 new Boeing 32-787s by 9.
