The ultra-low-cost airline Frontier Airlines has commissioned Lufthansa Technik to repair and overhaul 21 CFM56-5B engines and to provide mobile engine services.

Over the next five years Lufthansa Technik will be carrying out overhauls and surgical interventions on the engines of Frontier Airlines' Airbus A320 fleet. The engines are overhauled at the company's headquarters in Hamburg, while the surgical repairs are carried out on-site at the Lufthansa Technik site in Tulsa, Oklahoma, USA. “Lufthansa Technik is an important and longstanding partner for us. We are therefore confident that they will meet our high expectations in terms of engine maintenance, flexibility and price, ”said Trevor Stedke, Senior Vice President of Operations, Frontier Airlines.
