Sören Stark took over as CEO of Lufthansa Technik today from Johannes Bussmann, who will be taking over the Lufthansa Group after 23 April XNUMX 
years left of his own volition.

At the same time, Harald Gloy succeeded Stark as COO (Chief Operations Officer) of the company. As an "Accountable Manager" according to EASA Part 145, Gloy bears responsibility and is the contact person for the aviation authorities with regard to the maintenance operations of Lufthansa Technik AG. 

William Willms will continue to act as CFO on the three-person board.

Stark has been a member of the Executive Board of Lufthansa Technik since 2019. Previously, he headed the Operations department at Lufthansa for three years 
Cargo Inc. He started his career at Lufthansa Technik in 2004 as Managing Director of Lufthansa Technik Logistik in Hamburg. From 2011 to 2016, the industrial engineer managed aircraft overhaul at Lufthansa Technik.

As Chief Human Resources Officer (CHRO) and Labor Director, Harald Gloy is now also in charge of the Human Resources Board department, which was previously Johannes Bußmann's area of ​​responsibility. Gloy was most recently a member of the Executive Board and Labor Director of Lufthansa Cargo AG, where he was also responsible for Operations. The graduate engineer previously held various management positions at Lufthansa Technik.
