Some airlines, including Air Astana, have long offered that an entire bench seat can be booked. This should then function as a "bed". Lufthansa is now testing this on the Frankfurt-São Paulo route on flights LH 506/507.

The “sofa” cannot be booked in advance. An "upsell" can only be carried out at the check-in counter or, alternatively, at the gate. For a fee of USD 260, passengers receive a row of three or four exclusively for themselves. There is also priority boarding, a topper, a blanket and a pillow.

The offer can still be used until mid-December 2020. It has not yet been decided whether it will then be transferred to the regular offer. In any case, Lufthansa writes on the Product homepagethat it is a special price. The “sofa” can only be booked at the check-in counter or at the boarding gate and only if the flight is fully occupied. Payment must be made by credit card.
