A few days ago, the Maltese airline Luxwing took delivery of a second de Havilland Dash 8-400. It is a used aircraft that was previously used by Flybe, among others.

Most recently, the machine was in long-time storage in Saarbrücken for a longer period of time. At the end of October 2023, the turboprop aircraft was transferred to Luqa and is now being prepared at Medavia for use by Luxwing.

The Maltese carrier was previously the operator of Skyalps' Dash fleet. The collaboration has now expired, but Luxwing is now building its own de Havilland Dash 8-400 fleet, which will be used for charter flights. The new addition carries the registration 9H-LWB and appears entirely in Flybe's colors.
