Cologne/Bonn Airport has a new addition to the cargo sector with the Danish logistics company Moller-Maersk. On behalf of this company there is now a twice-weekly cargo connection to/from Greenville-Spartanburg. On board there are mainly care items and parts for the automotive industry.

“With Maersk, we have been able to gain an internationally active logistics company as a new, strong partner for our airport, and we are very pleased about that,” says Thilo Schmid, CEO of Flughafen Köln/Bonn GmbH. “This once again underlines the great importance of our location as a global hub for the transport of air freight.”

An increase in frequencies on the route, which would increase freight capacity, is planned. Maersk is also considering expanding its commitment to other routes from Cologne/Bonn. The subsidiary Maersk Air Cargo's own machines could be used on these.
