After the establishment of the two domestic German connections to Munich and Stuttgart as well as the summer season routes to Bern and Salzburg, the airport is now expanding its range of flights to the Mediterranean with the new charter destinations.

Lübeck Air - operated by Sundair - will commute from Lübeck to Mallorca twice a week from September 3 to October 29, 2021. The machines take off in the mornings on Monday and Friday. Crete is also being targeted: the Greek island is also every Thursday from Lübeck during this period. The North German Sundair with up to 319 seats will be flown with Airbus A320 and A180 planes.

"We are very pleased to be able to offer our guests these new flight connections to the popular Mediterranean islands from September," said Jürgen Friedel, Managing Director of the North German regional airport. “We have used the last few years since the privatization of Lübeck Airport to focus entirely on the convenience of travel and our passengers. A good connection, parking spaces in front of the door and only a few steps to departure are new, our terminal with the modern check-in counters, the gates with the comfortable departure areas and the relaxed arrival terminal.
