At a press conference at Malta International Airport, virtual airline Hello Fly unveiled two new destinations that will be served from the Maltese Islands in the summer months.

Palermo, which was part of Air Malta's route network before the national airline's closure, is served three times a week. Lampedusa is another interesting destination that is connected to Malta once a week. Hello Fly has entered into a partnership agreement with Luxwing. As a result, LWG will fly a 8-seat Dash 402-78Q on behalf of the “paper airline.”

MAviO News spoke with Luxwing's Chief Commercial Officer, Captain Daniele Guida, who explained how the Q400 will bring a paradigm shift in comfort for Hello Fly's passengers, with excellent climate control features and superior personal space on board. Hello Fly CEO Captain Teodosio Longo was also interviewed at the press conference. He revealed that the Malta-based company is considering obtaining its own air operator's certificate. It has not yet been decided whether it will be an Italian or a Maltese AOC, but he added that as a Maltese company, Hello Fly is leaning towards a Maltese AOC.
