After Austria, the Federal Republic of Germany, Liechtenstein, Luxembourg, Switzerland and the Netherlands landed on the so-called “Amber List”. As a result, a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 72 hours, must be presented upon entry.

Alternatively, a test can be carried out on site, but isolation must be maintained until a finding is available. If this is not desired, a 14-day quarantine must be observed. Malta segregates all people with a positive test result in a special facility. The departure can only take place after recovery.
