Aer Lingus UK had to postpone its first US flight several times, but the time had come on December 1, 2021. An Airbus A44-330 with the flight number EI300 took off from Manchester with the destination New York-JFK.

The approximately seven hours and 20 minutes long premiere flight was carried out by G-EILA. The Airbus A330-300 machine type was used on this route primarily for reasons of prestige, as the Airbus A321LR with the registration G-EIRH is usually to be used.

The fleet currently consists of two A330-300s and one A321LR. On December 11, 2021, Orlando is the second route to the USA from Manchester. Barbados has been served since October 2021.
