The Nordic Aviation Group and the Condor sister company Marabu have signed a long-term cooperation agreement. The centerpiece is a wet lease agreement covering three Airbus A320 aircraft. These will be used from Hamburg and Munich.

Marabu Airlines is an airline of the Attestor Group that is currently being established. Just like the state-owned Nordic Aviation Group, it is based in Estonia. The wet lease flights will not be operated by Xfly, but by Nordica, where Nordic Aviation Group's A320/A320neo operations are based. In the future, only the A320neo will be used, but Ceo models will also fly initially. Another ACMI partner of Marabu is Heston. The latter company will fly two Airbus A321s for the Condor sister company.

“I am delighted that we have found a trustworthy partner in the Estonian airline, which, with its Nordic working culture and top-level know-how, represents added value for the launch of Marabu. We are currently in an active recruitment phase and are creating hundreds of new jobs in Hamburg and Munich, both for local pilots and for cabin crew,” says Marabu boss Paul Schwaiger.

From the summer season, the Estonian airline Nordic Aviation Group will operate a total of 22 aircraft under the Nordica and Xfly brands. The group expects to continue its rapid growth in the coming years. Established in 2015, the Estonian state airline mainly provides ACMI services for its partner airlines and charters for tour operators, carrying their brands and offering their inflight customer service concept. In addition to Tallinn, the airline has bases in Stockholm, Copenhagen, Aarhus, Turku, Vilnius, Lisbon and now also in Hamburg.

“The success of recent years and the expertise and know-how of our group have been noticed in Europe. We are an airline group operating in seven European countries, in which people from over 30 nations from all over the world work together. Our know-how, our experience and our work culture are what our partners appreciate about us. The signed contract will turn a new page in the history of the company and the new opportunities that lie ahead will ensure the future development of the entire Nordic Aviation Group,” says Jan Palmer, CEO of Nordic Aviation Group.

Cooperation with Marabu is a disaster and doesn't work at all. This is how you can lose passengers.

We still don't know if there will be a flight from La Palma de aridane to Munich on July 18.7th.
