The North African country of Morocco recently relaxed entry requirements so that people who can prove they have been fully vaccinated against Covid-19 no longer have to show a negative PCR test. The local tourism office hopes that this will give tourism an extra boost.

During the corona pandemic, Morocco repeatedly isolated itself from the outside world. Man prohibited several times the operation of all international flights. Vaccination as well as PCR and even antibody tests were also sometimes required for entry. The latter was a real rarity, because this was required of almost no other state.

In the meantime, at least those who have been vaccinated can enter Morocco relatively easily again. According to the tourism office, showing proof of vaccination is sufficient for people from Germany, Austria and Switzerland.

Fully vaccinated means at least three bites

Important: In Morocco you are considered fully vaccinated if you can prove at least three bites. Anyone who has only received two vaccinations still needs a negative PCR test, which must not be older than 72 hours. What has not changed is that you have to fill out an entry form online or on paper. Both the EU certificates and the classic yellow vaccination card are accepted as proof of vaccination.

The country is also open to people who do not have full vaccination protection. In addition to the health form, however, a PCR test must be submitted, which must not be older than 72 hours. All requirements are waived for children under the age of 12.
