Marriott plans to open 30 luxury hotels in the new year

Marriott plans to open more than 2022 new luxury hotels in 30. Including new houses from the brands The Ritz-Carlton, Ritz-Carlton Reserve, St. Regis, W and The Luxury Collection.

The Ritz-Carlton brand was launched in a number of new destinations last year, including the Maldives, the Turks and Caicos Islands and Mexico City. Expansion into Arizona and New York City is planned for 2022 with the opening of The Ritz-Carlton Paradise Valley, The Palmeraie, where a hotel will open in the Nomad neighborhood. The Ritz-Carlton, Melbourne will expand the brand's presence in Australia. Ritz-Carlton Reserve will also expand its portfolio and open its sixth resort in the historic Jiuzhaigou Valley in China. St. Regis

The 50th hotel under the St. Regis flag is expected to open in the coming year. In the current year, the traditional brand increased its presence in the Middle East with the opening of two stores each in Cairo and Dubai. In the coming year, expansion in this region will continue with the opening of The St. Regis Marsa Arabia Island, The Pearl in Qatar. The opening of a St. Regis in Chicago and one in Belgrade are also planned for 2022. In addition, St. Regis continues to grow in vacation destinations and will nearly double the number of resorts in the next five years, says Marriott. The opening of The St. Regis Kanai Resort in Riviera Maya, Mexico is planned for 2022.

W hotels

With a focus on the further development and improvement of the W experience, hotels will open in places like the Algarve, Sydney, Dubai and Toronto in the coming year, according to Marriott.

Edition

Edition will bring its hotel concept to Reykjavik and Dubai in 2021. For 2022, Marriott announces further international expansion with the planned opening of six new properties, including in Madrid, Rome, Doha, Tampa, Riviera Maya in Kanai and Ginza, as the second hotel in Tokyo.

The Luxury Collection

The Luxury Collection is a growing collection of nearly 120 hotels in more than 40 countries and regions. In 2021, the brand made its debut in Hungary with the opening of the redesigned Unesco World Heritage Site Matild Palace in Budapest. The Luxury Collection will have hotels in Spain, India, the Dominican Republic, Mexico and Tbilisi in Georgia next year.

JW Marriott

For 2022, JW Marriott is planning new openings in destinations from Cairo to Istanbul and from Mexico to Jeju Island in South Korea.
