With the TC-MGG, the Turkish airline Mavi Gök Airlines has put the first long-haul aircraft of the type Boeing 777-300ER into commercial flight service. The machine was previously used for training purposes between Antalya and Ankara.

Mavi Gök uses the widebody primarily on flights between Turkey and India. Most recently, the machine was used on the Antalya-Delhi route. Another Boeing 777-300ER, the TC-MGF, is due to join the fleet shortly. Both machines were formerly in the service of the Russian sister company Azur Air.

Last year, Mavi Gök Airlines started as a charter airline of the Anex Group. With Azur Air, the parent company has other airlines that have branches in various countries. The German Azur Air was dissolved again a few years ago due to a lack of market success.

In the summer of 2023, Mavi Gök Airlines will connect further airports in the DA-CH region with Antalya. You are primarily active for the Anex Group, which owns the travel brands Neckermann, Bucher and Öger, among others. The former Thomas Cook brands were bought in the course of the insolvency proceedings and gradually brought back onto the market.
