May 2023: Lufthansa flies Frankfurt-Hamburg with B747-400

In May 2023, Lufthansa will operate some domestic German scheduled flights with the Boeing 747-400 machine type. 45 seats can be booked in business class and 162 in economy class.

On May 2, 4, 11, 18 and 25, 2023, the routes LH002 (Frankfurt-Hamburg) and LH009 (Hamburg-Frankfurt) will be served with Boeing 747-400 long-haul aircraft instead of the usual medium-haul jets. The carrier is not taking this step because of particularly high demand, but primarily for training reasons for pilots
