After around 30 years in flight service, the McDonnell Douglas MD-83 with the registration OY-RUE is due to retire in October 2021. Danish Air Transport intends to carry out a farewell flight on this occasion.

This is to take place on October 16, 2021 from Copenhagen and last around 1,5 hours. Interested parties can Pre-register at this link. The ticket price is 1.990 Danish kroner. According to the organizer, the special flight will only be carried out if at least fifty tickets have been sold.

The affected McDonnell Douglas MD-83 was manufactured in 1989 and put into active flight service in 1990. The serial number is 49936.
