The well-known term “parents are responsible for their children” has taken on a whole new meaning these days at Melbourne Airport in Australia. A boy thought he had to play on the baggage carousel and was carrying other travelers' belongings around.
Eyewitnesses filmed the incident. It is unclear why the child's parents did not initially intervene and literally whistled their son back. Only after an announcement by the security personnel, which explicitly referred to the boy's behavior, did he stop his activities. "Exercising around" on the baggage carousel can also be dangerous, because in the past one or the other child has been injured. There is therefore a good reason that these may not be entered.
