The Ryanair Group has had a base at Memmingen Airport in Bavaria for five years. Two Boeing 737-800s are currently stationed. Among other things, 25 destinations are served from this airport with these two aircraft.

Since starting operations at Memmingen Airport in 2009 and opening the base in 2017, Ryanair has carried almost 8 million passengers to/from Memmingen. The company explains that it employs 60 people locally and indirectly involves 900 jobs, for example with suppliers.

“As Europe's No. 1 airline, Ryanair is delighted to celebrate the 5th anniversary of our Memmingen base with an exciting summer schedule of 25 routes to destinations such as Palermo, Dublin and Palma de Mallorca, giving local residents more choice when booking of their upcoming holiday and supports incoming traffic from the most important European capitals to Memmingen and the surrounding area," says Ryanair's Andreas Gruber.
