Mallorca is currently experiencing a real boom in demand-side aviation, since 30 percent of the planes landed at Palma Airport are said to have been private planes since the opening of the border. The vast majority come from Germany, it reports Mallorca Magazine.

According to reports, the operator Aena is surprised by the rush of private planes. 600 of these planes should have taken off and landed within just two weeks. During the week the daily average is 36 private flight movements and at the weekend it is even 90.

70 percent of the demand flights took off in Germany. 15 percent in Spain and the United Kingdom. The rest would be spread across other nations. With wealthy customers, flights with private business jets are becoming a popular alternative during the pandemic. Almost all operators have seen a strong increase in demand.
