The Irish low-cost airline Ryanair announced that bookings made in December and January 2021 will be waived the otherwise usual rebooking fee. However, in many cases the “small print” is of little help in view of the dynamic pandemic development.
A possible tariff difference must be paid for when rebooking. The carrier only waives the processing fee and only if the change is made online no later than seven days before the planned departure. The travel period can then extend until September 30, 2021.
“Plans can change - in order to offer our customers as much flexibility as possible, we have extended our rebooking fee waiver to all bookings in December and January. Customers can book trips for Christmas, Easter and the summer knowing that if they need to reschedule their travel plans, they can rebook at no charge. Customers can plan to visit their families for Christmas or book their Easter / Summer vacations, knowing that they can reschedule flights with no additional rebooking fees if their plans change, ”said Dara Brady, Director of Marketing & Digital at Ryanair.
