His smartphone app was developed at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology, which is supposed to recognize whether you have Covid-19 or not. This should be achieved solely through the smell that is produced when coughing.

To this end, the MIT researchers developed analysis software that was tested on tens of thousands of healthy and infected people. All participants were also tested using PCR. "Our tool could reduce the spread of the pandemic if everyone uses it before going to a classroom, factory or restaurant," Juan Brian Subirana told press release. The app should soon be available worldwide free of charge and used as a pre-screening.
