Central German airports will have their CO in 20202-Emissions reduced by 86 percent compared to 2019. This was confirmed by the balance sheet at the end of May.
This means that the company is already significantly exceeding the industry target set by German airports for 2030 of reducing its emissions by more than 2010 percent compared to 50. At least that's what the broadcast says. Among other things, this is made possible by the use of climate-neutral electricity and energy-efficient LED technology.
“Climate protection is an essential corporate goal for us. We are also pursuing an ambitious environmental strategy with a view to our neighbors and are continuously working towards making our airports climate-neutral as early as possible. We also want to take our customers with us on this path, ”says Götz Ahmelmann, CEO of Mitteldeutsche Flughafen AG.
