The shipping company Moby Lines has started a seasonal ferry connection between Livorno and Bastia. This will be offered in the current 2024 summer season up to and including November 3, 2024.

The operator explains that it is the shortest and fastest ferry connection between mainland Italy and the French island of Corsica. The scheduled travel time is given as 4,5 hours. The offer is also aimed at people who want to take a day trip to the island.

For example, there is a ship from Livorno to Bastia that leaves around 8 a.m. We then go back in the afternoon. This is intended to enable holidaymakers to take a day trip to Corsica. Furthermore, additional ferry connections will be offered during particularly high demand times.

The ship Moby Orli is in operation as planned. This will be replaced by the Moby Corse before the summer of 2024. During the high season, a second ship, the Moby Zaza, will operate between Livorno and Bastia. Passengers can also book an overnight stay on the ship. You must check in between 20:00 p.m. and 23:30 p.m. The cost is at least 99 euros and includes breakfast.
