According to Croatian Prime Minister Andrej Plenković, the negotiations on the possible entry of Aegean Airlines into Croatia Airlines, which were interrupted for an indefinite period due to the corona negotiations, should be continued.
Croatia has been looking for a partner or buyer for the state airline for a long time. Before the corona pandemic, the Spanish Air Nostrum was also interested in getting involved and the government was aiming for partial privatization by mid-2020.
Corona, however, thwarted the bill. Now they want to negotiate with Aegean again, and the result is still open. The government wants to renew the Croatia Airlines fleet with 12 to 15 planes. Embraer and Airbus in particular are hoping for orders from Zagreb.
